This is a game-worn St. Louis Cardinals 2006 World Series jersey, worn by Dave McKay. McKay was the first base coach for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1996 - 2011.

The St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series in 2006.

Dave McKay was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in 2001.

Description

This is a grey button-down polyester jersey. There are six grey plastic buttons down the placket. The jersey has red and gold embroidered lettering applique with a black outline on the front, and red lettering applique with a black outline on the reverse. The reverse applique reads "McKay" at the top, with a large number "39" underneath at the centre. The front reads "Cardinals" under a gold baseball bat with two red cardinals perched on either end, facing each other. The number "39" is affixed below the "nals", and is in the same style as the reverse applique, not embroidered like the word "Cardinals" is. There is a small red embroidered "Majestic" logo on the proper left sleeve. There is a white, blue, and red "World Series 2006" patch affixed to the proper right sleeve. There is a small black, white, and red embroidered patch with the MLB logo affixed to the reverse shirt collar. There is a patch affixed to the proper left shirt tail with a "Majestic" logo. There are two flag tags affixed to this patch, one with the size "48" printed on it, and the other a blank white tag.

Un chandail gris à boutons, fabriqué en polyester. Il y a six boutons gris en plastique sur la platte. Sur les deux côtés, il y a des appliqués rouges et dorés avec un peu de noir qui trace le contour des appliqués. À l’avant, on trouve le mot « Cardinals » avec un bâton doré et deux cardinaux brodés puis le numéro « 39 ». À l’arrière, il y a le nom « McKay » et encore le numéro « 39 ». La manche gauche contient le logo de « Majestic » brodé en rouge. Sur la manche droite, un écusson qui dit « World Series 2006 » (la Série mondiale de 2006) est attachée sur la manche en blanc, bleu et rouge. Sur l’autre côté du col, on trouve le logo de la MLB brodé sur un écusson en noir, blanc et rouge. Il y a un écusson sur le pan de chemise gauche avec le logo de « Majestic ». Deux petites étiquettes blanches sont attachées sur cet écusson, une étiquette qui montre la taille de « 48 » et l’autre est vide.
