This is a 2001 St. Louis Cardinals set 1 jersey worn by Dave McKay. McKay was the first base coach for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1996 - 2011.

Dave McKay was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in 2001.

Description

This is a white button-down polyester jersey. There are six clear plastic buttons down the placket. The jersey has red and gold embroidered lettering applique with a black outline on the front, and red lettering applique with a black outline on the reverse. The reverse applique reads "McKay" at the top, with a large number "39" underneath at the centre. The front reads "Cardinals" under a gold baseball bat with two red cardinals perched on either end, facing each other. The number "39" is affixed below the "nals", and is in the same style as the reverse applique, not embroidered like the word "Cardinals" is. Dave McKay autographed the front of the jersey on the opposite side of the placket from the number "39". He autographed the reverse of the jersey under the number "9". There is a small red embroidered Rawlings "R" logo on the proper left sleeve. There is a small black, white, and red embroidered patch with the MLB logo affixed to the reverse shirt collar. There is a patch affixed to the proper left inside shirt tail with the "Rawlings" logo and care instructions. There are two flag tags affixed to this patch, one with the size "50" printed on it, and the other with "Set 1 2001" printed on it.

Un chandail blanc à boutons, fabriqué en polyester. Il y a six boutons transparents en plastique sur la platte. Sur les deux côtés, il y a des appliqués rouges et dorés avec un peu de noir qui trace le contour des appliqués. À l’avant, on trouve le mot « Cardinals » avec un bâton jaune et deux cardinaux brodés puis le numéro « 39 » et la autographe de Dave McKay en feutre noir en dessous le mot « Cardinals ». À l’arrière, il y a le nom « McKay » un autre numéro « 39 » et une deuxième autographe de Dave McKay en feutre noir. La manche gauche contient le logo de « Rawlings » brodé en rouge. Sur l’autre côté du col, on trouve un écusson avec le logo de la MLB brodé en noir, blanc et rouge. À l’intérieur du pan de chemise, il y a un écusson avec le logo de « Rawlings » et les instructions de lavage. On peut aussi trouver deux petites étiquettes, la première avec la taille de « 50 » et l’autre avec le numéro de l’uniforme dans la collection « Set 1 2001 ».
