History

This is a white Montreal Expos jersey worn by Mark Grudzielanek.

Mark Grudzielanek was drafted in the 11th round of the 1991 MLB draft by the Montreal Expos and signed with them that year. He had previously been drafted by the New York Mets in the 1989 MLB draft but did not sign with them. Grudzielanek made his MLB debut in 1995 with the Expos and played for the Expos for four seasons, until 1998 when he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In 1996, Grudzielanek was selected as an All-Star.

This jersey has a commemorative patch on the proper right sleeve which celebrates the Montreal Expos' 30th season in 1998.

Description

This is a white polyester button down jersey with dark blue pinstripes. There are six pearly white buttons down the placket. There is dark blue lettering applique with a red outline on the front and reverse. The front reads "Expos" in script, with a small "4" beneath the "os". The reverse reads "Grudzielanek" across the top with a large number "4" at the centre. The proper left sleeve has a red, blue, and white circular patch with the Montreal Expos logo. The proper right sleeve has a red, blue, copper, and white diamond shaped patch which commemorates the Expos' 30th season. This patch has text reading "Montreal 1969 - 1998 30 Expos". Beneath this patch, by the edge of the sleeve, is a small dark blue and red embroidered "Russell Athletic" logo. The proper left shirt tail has a white patch with the "Russell Athletic" logo and care information. There is a small flag tag affixed to the bottom of this patch which indicates the fabric is polyester.

Un chandail blanc à boutons et à rayures fines en bleu foncé. Il y a six boutons blancs sur la platte. Sur les deux côtés, il y a un appliqué en bleu foncé avec un peu de rouge qui trace le contour de l’appliqué. À l’avant du chandail, on trouve le mot « Expos » et un petit numéro « 4 », mais à l’arrière, il y a le nom « Grudzielanek » et un plus grand numéro « 4 ». La manche à gauche montre un petit logo des Expos de Montréal. La manche à droit contient un écusson qui commémore le trentième anniversaire des Expos. En bas de cet écusson, il y a un petit logo de « Russell Athletic ».
