This Toronto Blue Jays bobblehead was made to honour Roy Halladay. It was a promotional giveaway in 2003. Roy Halladay was an American professional baseball pitcher who played in the MLB between 1998 and 2013 for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Philadelphia Phillies. Halladay was an 8 time All-Star, and a 2 time Cy Young Award winner. Halladay pitched a perfect game for the Philadelphia Phillies on May 29, 2010, and a postseason no-hitter later that same season, on October 6, 2010. Halladay's number 32 has been retired by the Toronto Blue Jays and Halladay was added to the Toronto Blue Jays' Level of Excellence. Halladay was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2017, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019. |
