This is a baseball card printed on cardstock. It is from the "Gypsy Queen" line of Topps baseball cards, which are stylized with more romantic imagery comparative to typical baseball cards. The card bears a colour photograph of John Axford wearing a blue and white Milwaukee Brewers uniform. He is shown preparing to throw a baseball. The photo is framed by a beige Art Nouveau-style border, which itself is within a warm grey border. Below the photo is ornate, white text which reads "GYPSY QUEEN," followed by grey text which reads "Axford, J., Brewers TM." The reverse of the card is cream-coloured. It features a short text about Axford's career printed in warm grey ink. The text is printed within an ornate Art Nouveau-style frame, with the name "GYPSY QUEEN" again at the top. The card is copyrighted to The Topps Company, Inc., 2012. It is an officially licensed product of MLB. |
