History |
This Montreal Expos bobblehead was given away as a promotional item on August 4, 2002. Gary Carter was the best catcher in Expos' history. He participated in 7 All-Star Games with the Expos, playing for the team from 1974-1984, and again in 1992, his final season. Carter was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in 2003. He had his number retired by the Expos in 2003. |

Part a: bobblehead Part b: box This is a Gary Carter bobblehead wearing a red, white, and blue Montreal Expos helmet, a brown glove on his left hand, and a blue and red Expos uniform, number 8. He has a catcher's mask in his right hand and he is crouched down in a catching stance. His name is on the front of the base. The manufacturer's information is on a sticker on the bottom. "0349 of 5000" is also on a sticker on the bottom. The bobblehead box is blue with red and white text listing in French and English. The back of the box lists the 6 promotional bobbleheads which the Montreal Expos gave away during the 2002 season. The front of the box is open, to reveal the bobblehead inside. |

La figurine porte un casque rouge, blanc et bleu des Expos de Montréal, un gant brun et un uniforme bleu et rouge des Expos, le numéro 8. Elle tient un masque de receveur. Carter s’accroupit pour recevoir un lancer. Son nom est écrit à l’avant de la base. Un autocollant en bas de la figurine montre les informations relatives à la fabrication. Un autre autocollant dit « 0349 of 5000 ». La boîte est bleue, au texte rouge et blanc et elle est bilingue. L’envers de la boîte montre tous les six figurines bobblehead que les Expos de Montréal ont donné aux spectateurs du match en 2002. Le front est transparent et on peut voir la figurine dans la boîte. |
