History |
In 1908, the St. Marys Wood Specialty Company started making baseball bats. In 1933, the company moved to Hespeler, Ontario. The company was taken over by Cooper in 1972. In 1989, Canstar Sports bought the business. Today, the St. Marys bat label is carried on by KR3, sponsors of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. |

En 1972, l’entreprise Cooper a acheté le fabricant. En 1989, Canstar Sports les a achetés. Aujourd’hui, le nom de St Marys est encore utilisé sur les bâtons de KR3, un parrain du Temple de la renommée et musée du baseball canadien. |
Description |
This brown bat is affixed to a reddish-brown wooden display by a metal bracket. The bat's handle is wrapped with dark red cloth tape extending 30cm up the bat. The number "4" is engraved in the base of the bat's knob. There is a red Cooper logo midway up the barrel, and the word "Cyclone" printed in red near the end of the barrel. A cartoon cyclone with eyes and a mouth is depicted beside the word. A white paper didactic label is taped to the wooden display by the end of the barrel. |

Un bâton brun. Il est fixé par un tasseau en métal sur une vitrine brun-roux en bois. Un morceau de ruban adhésif en tissu rouge, 30 cm de tailleur, encercle le manche du bâton. Sur le bouton, le numéro "4" est gravé. Sur le bout, il y a un logo rouge de Cooper et le mot "Cyclone". Une caricature d’un cyclone qui porte des yeux et une bouche est trouvé à côté du nom. Sur la vitrine en bois et près du bout, on trouve une étiquette didactique en papier. |
