Sell was part of two major league games in his career: one a Chicago White Sox training game, and the other when the California Angels came to town on May 16, 1983 for an Exhibition Game against their AAA affiliate Edmonton Trappers. The game included two future hall of famers, Rod Carew and Reggie Jackson. The stadium was used for football, and so had a long left field fence and a short right field fence. Selon l'Edmonton Journal : https://edmontonjournal.com/news/local-news/aug-24-1990-after-10-years-edmonton-trappers-are-outta-here-almost La plupart des Edmonton Trappers (de la Pacific Coast League) ont joué à Edmonton entre 1981 et 2004. Ils sont devenus le club-équipe des Angels d'Oakland en 1984. Ils ont été affiliés pendant leurs deux dernières saisons (2003-04) aux Expos de Montréal. Ils ont joué au parc John Ducey jusqu'à ce qu'il soit remplacé par Telus Field en 1995. Les Trappers ont remporté les titres PCL en 1984, 1996, 1997 et 2002. Le propriétaire était Peter Pocklington, qui a vendu aux Eskimos d'Edmonton en 1999, qui a vendu à Nolan Ryan et à son fils en 2003. Ryan a déménagé l'équipe d'Edmonton à Round Rock, au Texas (où ils ont été rebaptisés le Round Rock Express). Le dernier match des Trappers a eu lieu le 3 septembre 2004.
